A little inside baseball on Comics
You may have seen me post about how important it is for you to ask your lcs to order non Big 2 comics (snore), right? There’s another, almost as important, reason for doing that. If a comic or graphic novel doesn’t hit a certain level of sales, Diamond won’t reorder. So, if the shop didn’t get it the first time, they never will.
So, while I appreciate that people want to wait to buy it from me at a show, and I’ll happily sell it to you, I’d rather you ask your shop to order it for you.
There are more reasons than the one mentioned above. I’ve said it before, but if you, and hopefully a friend or tw
RE: HAPPY TO BE HERE!!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
It is with great surprise that I find myself a member of this Group. I've been a Penciller in the field of Sequential Art for many years. During that time I've had the opportunity to meet many in the business that I've admired as a child. Over the years I've worked for or with many you may know as household names in the comic business. I've illustrated for both INDIE and Mainstream comic publishing groups. During that time I've accomplished much but lost much. I've had success but many failures, as many colleagues rose to great heights i was confront with obscurity and was forgotten. But one thing I've held onto during tho
DEVIANTART HOLIDAY ART SWAP 2017
Hey everyone! Its getting into the holiday season again, so its time for this year's community-wide Holiday Art Swap! :holly:
Its been an annual event on art (https://www.deviantart.com/art) since 2006. Some of the previous years have seen several hundred artists participate, but since art (https://www.deviantart.com/art) has been a little quieter than usual these days we need your help to make the event bigger and better than ever!
The event is fully hosted on its own page at #HolidayArtSwap (https://www.deviantart.com/holidayartswap)
How does it work? Its easy: Participants are paired up randomly and do a gift art trade with each other. The gifts don't have to be holiday themed, you can request anything your partner is comfortable
